Alejandro Malaspina (1754-1810). |
Museum Ship, Penticton S.S. Sicamous, the largest remaining steel-hulled sternwheeler in Canada, is located on the southern shore of Lake Okanagan at Penticton, British Columbia. Built in 1914 in Ontario and assembled at Okanagan Landing for Canadian Pacific Railway and British Columbia Lake and River Service, she plied the waters of Okanagan Lake until 1936, from her Penticton homeport. She was the epitome of luxury and utility providing exceptional passenger, mail and freight service. |

The Sergeants' Mess The Sergeants' Mess is an excellent example of Hughes' early work as an Official War Artist during World War II. "The wealth of material that Hughes produced between 1940 and 1946 is perhaps the most significant body of work by a Canadian painter in the Canadian War Museum." (Ian Thom) |
